About the book
This book shares the stories of older Indigenous Australian men who survived a brutal residential home during Australia’s Stolen Generation, alongside photographs of the site of the home and archival images.
The purpose of this book is to share stories, correct hsitorical inaccuracues and provided a platform for the Kinchela Boys’ Home Aboriginal Corporation to showcase their work and fundraise.
My role
Publisher, designer, collaborator.
This project required significantly more collaboration than usual. I traveled with Tace Stephens to NSW to visit many Survivors and discuss the book with them.
This led to the creation of handwriting from the Survivors for the book.
