Each project starts with photography, research and writing, and then becomes an exhibition, books, public programming and media connections.
Most of my work is concerned with unpacking how colonialism in Australia has led to inherent violence and long-lasting damage. I think of what I do as a bit of an ‘exploded view’ where I choose a species, location or topic and then examine as many facets and manifestations of that as I can.
